The Sawing Module can be upgraded to use a 500mm blade. On machines with the older safety system, the larger 500mm blade cuts through the safety switch when doing 90 degree cuts.
Solution
A block has been designed which relocates the safety switch out of the way of the blade, cutting at any angle.

Instructions
- Remove bolt from handle which corresponds to where the relocation block is going to be mounted. Loosely refit the nut and bolt for the handle, now securing the relocation block.
- Mark off where to drill 2 off clearance holes in the hood door which correspond to the 2 horizontally aligned holes on the block. (The 2 vertically aligned holes are to remount the guard switch key).
- Fit 2 off M4 x 12 Socket Cap Screws and 2 off M4 washers to secure block to hood door. Now tighten bolt securing handle to hood door. Once fitted, drill/cut out new hole on Saw Top Hood to allow key to pass through.
- Install guard switch key onto relocation block, and align guard switch to suit.
