Fault finding Guide for issues with toothed gripper on ZX5 and Flowline TruLoc system

Sommaire

Fault Finding Guide
Issue Symptoms Root Causes Checks
Slim Z Profile Twists when Gripper Approaches on Saw side The combination of the pushing movement of the gripper and the side channel pressure causes the profile to roll over before the gripper can engage

Particularly an issue on Ovolo profile with a rolled edge, and on shorter offcuts

Side Channel Pressure too high Check it is set at 1.5bar.

Often increased because the channel is not operating smoothly and correctly

Rear Fence Alignment Rear Fences can get knocked out of alignment. Check with a straight edge or similar
Channel bar alignment parallel to rear fence With channel closed, check the distance of the channel bar to the rear fence upstands
Software Version Check Control Systems Log to ensure the software version
Gripper mechanics Check the mechanical integrity of the gripper system
