The TLP-2844 has a pin-identical serial port to the Paxar printer, therefore it will plug straight in. The power supply to it has a different connector, however, a converter should be provided in the upgrade kit.

Along with this TB, there should also be a software kit containing the upgrade files needed. The label format files are basic standard ones, so if the customer has a specialised label, the “prnfmt.zft” file will need to be altered to suit customer requirements – contact Gareth Green if this is the case
Standalone Saw
- Copy saw.exe version 10.xx or higher to c:\
- Copy prnfmt.zft and offcut.zft to the c:\ drive
- In params.saw change the following parameters:
- printer=4
- prformat=\prnfmt.zft
- oCutFormat=\offcut.zft
Flowline / ZX
- Copy saw.exe version 11.xx or higher to c:\saw
- Copy prnfmt.zft and offcut.zft to the c:\saw drive
- In c:\params.saw change the following parameters:
- printer=4
- prformat=\prnfmt.zft
- oCutFormat=\offcut.zft
Microline
- Copy setPrint.exe version 2.0 or higher to c:\
- Copy goPrint.exe version 2.0 or higher to c:\
- Copy prnfmt.zft and offcut.zft to the c:\ drive
- In params.mul change the following parameters:
- mlLabelFormat=c:\prnfmt.zft
- mlOffcutFormat=c:\offcut.zft
