Policy for the part numbering of subassemblies

[l] | Optional Letter | |
b-z | Version number. Major version change of assembly, fit and / or function has changed. Not backwards compatible | |
R | Refurb version of a subassembly | |
X | Service exchange part – generally 50% of new price | |
P | Parts only (copy of a service subassembly with labour removed for accurate costing) | |
[OH] | Optional flag to signify opposite hand version of a subassembly. The letters OH should also appear at the end of the description field. |
