Subassembly Numbering Policy

nnnnnnn	7 Digit Part Number
[l]	Optional Letter
	b-z	Version number. Major version change of assembly, fit and / or function has changed. Not backwards compatible
	R	Refurb version of a subassembly
	X	Service exchange part – generally 50% of new price
	P	Parts only (copy of a service subassembly with labour removed for accurate costing)
[OH]	Optional flag to signify opposite hand version of a subassembly. The letters OH should also appear at the end of the description field.

X	Single letter Part number to standard categories
nnnnnnn	7 Digit Part Number
[OH]	Optional flag to signify opposite hand version of a subassembly. The letters OH should also appear at the end of the description field.

Suffixes are added to the part number (eg SX or X for service exchange, or to identify a similar part, with a modified design for other uses)
