Fitting removable panels to front and rear of machining centre opening
Objective
To fit a guard fence to cover the area under the machining centre front and rear where the swarf bins are removed and emptied. The guard must comply with BS EN ISO 13857. The panel should be removable, but will need a tool. The guard fixings must be retained on the guard. The operators must be trained in the correct use of them
Procedure
- Drill and tap 2 off mounting holes front and rear
- Fit the guards
Testing / Training
- Ensure the guards are easily removable with the correct key device
- Train the operators
Completion
This modification is expected to take no longer than 1 hour to complete.
Completion is when:
- Testing completed
- Device Magic app updated for this task, with time taken and photo evidence recorded
