Recognition of the handing of the infeed Pull Cylinders

Problem

The infeed Pull cylinders used on ZX3/4 and Microlines from 2007 onwards are handed parts.

The rodless cylinders have an extension one end only which means that can be almost bottomed out one end, but will stop short with a gap the other end.

The handing is important to the location of the air inlets

If you have the incorrect hand of cylinder, the air inlet prevents the cylinder from being reversed

  1. Shows the location of the air inlet at the bottom of the cylinder
  2. The air inlet cannot be at the top because it will interfere with the energy chain bracket

Modifications

There have been modifications on machine to "make" the wrong hand fit the machine. The modification involves moving the energy chain mount to a different location. However, this modification can be reversed to return the assembly to "normal".
