TB0399 Fitting Spindle Plunge End Stop on ZX

If the plunge cylinder fails on the spindle, the entire assembly can come off the end of the bearing rail and fall into the centre of the spindle ring, causing more damage

Solution

Drill and tap an M4 caphead at the end of the rail, using the Jig supplied, positioned as picture below. Either side of the rail is fine

A kit containing the jig, drills, taps, screws and washers is supplied. Please let service know if you start to run out of screws.

There is now a compulsory check on the service checklist which will to feedback to us when this has been done on each machine en none 0
