Title: | Removal of Redundant Drive Timer and Contactor |
The timer and contactor were added 15 years ago on flowlines when the old DOS PC used to have a boot-up problem due to the drives switching on at the same time as the PC power supply, causing a power drain.
On a Windows PC, the original issue is no longer a problem, so the delayed start is not needed. If the timer or contactor parts fail, they can be removed, and the contactor bypassed.
