Details on the minimum cut sizes on Stuga machinery
Minimum_Cut_Sizes_on_Stuga_Saws.png
There is a general minimum size that the machines were designed to process
| Machine | Profile Width (mm) | Year | Minimum (mm) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Autocut Saw | 70 | 1992- | 285 |
| Flowline | 70 | 2000-2005 | 285 |
| ZX3/4 | 70 | 2003-2016 | 285 |
| Microline | 70 | 2005-2010 | 300 |
| Autoflow | 70 | 2010- | 300 |
| ZX5 | 70 | 2016- | 285 |
| Autocut Saw (Cill Option) | 225 | 2012- | 400 |
Cut pieces come in lots of shapes and sizes. End cuts are different (eg mitres, arrow heads and Y notches), and profile widths are different. The machine designs will allow shorter lengths than the general minimum to be cut, but issues such as profile width and position along the bar then come in to play.
The limiting factor is actually the physical distance between the front fences vs the inner dimension of the cut piece.
This dimension is complex because depends on both the width of the profile and the end prep (mitres will have a smaller minimum size because the inner dimension will be shorter)
The software automatically filters out sizes smaller than minimumSize parameter.
