Assemblies R0015013C and R0015072D
Change An extra IO module has been added to the front of the WEG 'crank' inverters. The new module gives us access to a fault output from the drive.

Extra IO has also been added for a remote reset (using inverter reset) and an emergency stop input.

Reason For Change The WEG inverters run well, however, we do not have enough feedback about the drive status into the system to know when the drive is in alarm.

The drive has been wired previously to Z105 with a direct power off to the drive under Estop conditions. This meant that if there was an error present, when we reset, we would lose the error code.

As we can now see the status of the drive, if we do have an error, we can remotely reset.

Impact

Cost Saving Per Build £-17.71
Build Time Saving Per Build -0.25
Other Impacts These changes may not change the amount of time we go into error on the drive, but it should change the outcome of a crash due to starting up the system in an error.
