Using a NetSetGo disk to reformat an ACEpc hard drive and install all the correct software to enable IP address networking

Introduction

This procedure will completely overwrite any data on the hard drive of the ACEpc.

This is not a problem on a flowline where the data resides on the main MH hard drive in a shared directory c:\saw.

If this process is to be carried out on a standalone saw or router, make sure the data is backed up first.

Étape 1 - Insert disk (Power off)

Étape 2 - Power On

Étape 3 - Proceed with format Y

Volume label [enter]

This will format the hard drive and then copy all necessary network software as a ZIP file to the hard drive and then inflate it.

Étape 4 - Run NetEdit from command prompt

At DOS prompt, ensure you are on drive C: by typing

c:

And press enter

type

netedit

And press enter

Étape 5 - Set the saw name

Build number must be unique. If a flowline saw put an "s" on the end. i.e. F073S

Étape 6 - Saw IP address

This is supplied by customer. IT department

If testing in house it needs to be on the 192.168.16.xxx range.

e.g 192.168.16.101

Étape 7 - Multi Name

If this is for a Flowline - Build Number of Flowline machining center

Otherwise this will be the net NETBEUI name of the pc you are connecting to.

For testing at stuga this will be NAS1

Étape 8 - Multi IP

If this is for a Flowline - IP Address of Flowline machining center

Otherwise this will be the IP address of the pc you are connecting to.

For testing at stuga this will be 192.168.16.6

Étape 9 - Save + Exit

Press escape - then Y

The message:

Unable to open params.saw file

is normal.
